ARTISOFT OPENS NEW EUROPEAN DIVISION
Artisoft Europe Based in the United Kingdom
(TUCSON, Ariz. -- April 10, 1991) -- Artisoft announced today
it's recent opening of an Artisoft Europe Division based in
the United Kingdom. Bill Butt is the Vice President of Sales
& Marketing for Artisoft Europe and responsible for developing
and managing marketing and distribution strategies.
"LANtastic has been doing very well throughout Europe with
our international distributors. We've added this new division
to address their needs and fulfill the tremendous potential
of that market," said Jack Schoof, Artisoft's President and
CEO.
Bill Butt and his sales/marketing group spent nine days in
March at the CeBIT Computer Show in Hanover, Germany meeting
with potential international distributors interested in selling
LANtastic. "The recognition of and demand for LANtastic is
even greater than we'd anticipated," said Bill Butt. "We
expect to significantly expand and strengthen our position
in the European Marketplace.
Before coming to Artisoft, Bill Butt was the Managing
Director for the NEXOS Local Area Networking Division of DSC
Communications Corporation in England. He was responsible
for worldwide operations including product development and
manufacturing.
